In 2016 we acquired two J24 sailboats from members of our community. The boats have been donated to Charleston Community Sailing and we are excited to offer a variety of programming in 2017 including US Sailing’s First Sail. J24’s are stable, non capsizable boats sailed with an instructor on board in which all sailors will work together to steer the boat and trim the sails. If you are interested in helping with this program please contact us.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we are constantly evaluating options for our programs. We understand our programs provide great experiences and memories for our participants, and much needed child-care for their families. Ultimately, our decisions to operate, delay, modify or cancel programs will be based on guidance from the CDC and other government health officials, as well as our commitment to ensuring we can provide a high quality, safe experience for our participants.
