Open beginner 420 is open to all sailors in middle or high school who would like to learn to sail a double handed dinghy while having FUN! Sailors will be taught the basics of double handed dinghy sailing, and given the skills needed to learn competitive sailing in the future. This program is perfect for older youth who are wanting to learn to sail, or Opti sailors who are looking to make the switch to the 420.
Open Keelboat
Ages 12+
After school sailing program that is open to all who want to learn the fundamentals of big boat sailing. Students will learn the skills required to sail fixed keel boats aboard our J24, which is the most popular one-design sailing vessel in the world. Due to the larger boat size, all students will be on the same boat with an instructor. This is the perfect program for those sailors looking to sail with their friends as a special emphasis will be placed on teamwork. We follow US Sailing curriculum, and our instructors are nationally certified.
Open Opti Sailing
Ages 8+
This program is open to all beginner and intermediate level Opti sailors. New sailors will be able to learn the basics of Opti sailing while having fun, and once they gain a little experience, they will be able to start learning to sail the boat without a partner. This class will cover all basic sailing skills, with the goal of preparing sailors to sail at a green fleet level.
