Joy To YOU!

Giving Thanks — for You

As we approach the end of 2020, we express gratitude for all our blessings in what has been a very challenging year worldwide and in our community.  Today, our hearts are with those who have lost loved ones to COVID19.

At a time when so many need to make sense of the world around them, we see ever more clearly the healing properties of being on the water and the urgency of our mission: to engage the lives of children and adults in unique learning experiences through innovative programs to build character and promote a healthy spirit, mind and body.  Our programs stabilize youth during unstable times and help them to realize their hidden talents while conquering their fears and doubts by using sailing as a vehicle regardless of socioeconomic background, skill level or physical ability.

One of the greatest joys of sailing is its ability to nourish the body and soul.  Water gives your body a naturally soothing treatment that calms you both mentally and physically by calming your nerves.  Our programming brings together people from all different backgrounds who work together for one common goal.  The past few months we’ve had breakdowns to pop-up sails to the high school sailing program and we want to continue to be there for you – our community.

As always, we cannot do any of this without you.  We are working to create new partnerships for 2021 by continuing to offer scholarships to families in need.  Each of these 35 students will attend Charleston Community Sailing on full scholarship—we thank you for the support and generosity that makes that possible.

Will you consider a gift today? A gift of any amount will make a critical difference:

  • $25  Tank of gas for a coach boat
  • $100 Lifejacket for a student
  • $500 Give 3 weeks of summer sailing scholarships
  • $1,000  Jib and main sail for 420
  • $2,500  Optimist replacement
  • $5,000  Provide 15 students with 8 weeks of Sailing Into STEM
  • $7,000 Replace an outboard engine
  • Or become a monthly donor, at any level

Stay tuned on Instagram to see our students as they take the first steps of a life-changing journey. Thank you for helping to create the path, and for traveling with them.

In gratitude for your support,
